If you are searching for GST filing services near you in Hyderabad, you are usually deciding between three things: a local office you can walk into, an online service that never meets you, or software you run yourself. This guide explains when a local provider matters, what to check before you sign up, and what GST filing costs with Tax Garden.
Do You Need a Local GST Filing Service?
GST returns are filed on gst.gov.in and verified with an OTP or a digital signature, so nothing in the law requires your provider to be in the same city. A local service helps in practice when:
- You want to hand over bills and registers in person, or sit with someone to review the numbers.
- You receive a notice and want to discuss it face to face before replying.
- Your records are on paper and need sorting before anyone can file.
An online-only service or software works when your invoices are already digital, your GST is simple and you are comfortable working over WhatsApp, email and calls. Many Hyderabad businesses use both: documents shared online every month, with an office visit when something needs a longer conversation. The trade-offs between software and a managed service are set out in our best GST filing service in India comparison. For GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B filing costs and how to choose a provider in the city, see our guide to GST filing services in Hyderabad.
What to Check Before You Hire a GST Filing Service
- Is GSTR-2B reconciliation included? Input tax credit can be claimed only when the supplier's invoice appears in your GSTR-2B. A fee that covers filing but not reconciliation leaves the hardest part with you.
- Who prepares and who reviews the return? Ask for the name of the person responsible for your account.
- Is the scope in writing? Returns covered, number of GSTINs, annual return, amendments and notices should all be listed.
- How are you reminded before due dates? The provider needs your sales data a few days before the 11th and purchase confirmations before the 20th.
- What is charged separately? GSTR-9, GSTR-9C, notice replies and filing of earlier missed returns are commonly extra.
- What happens if the provider makes a mistake? The late fee and interest are legally the taxpayer's liability, so ask how the provider handles delays it causes.

Tax Garden's GST Filing Services in Hyderabad

| GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B filing, under 225 transactions | Rs 3,000 per month |
| GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B filing, under 500 transactions | Rs 5,000 per month |
| Retail Shops GST Package (GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B up to 100 transactions, plus TDS filings) | Rs 2,100 per month |

These are Tax Garden's service fees. The government charges nothing to register for GST or to file GSTR-1, GSTR-3B or GSTR-9 on the GST portal, so the only government cost is a late fee or interest when a return or tax payment is late. Prices are as published on our pricing page in October 2026. Kavach error protection covers up to Rs 50,000 in service charges if our team makes a clerical error. The full scope is on our GST filing services page, and you can find directions on the Kondapur office and Hyderabad pages.
To see how these fees compare with filing yourself or hiring a chartered accountant, read our GST filing cost guide for small businesses. If you are choosing between software and a filing service, see ClearTax alternatives for GST and ITR filing.
GST Rules a Hyderabad Business Should Know
Registration. Telangana did not adopt the Rs 40 lakh threshold for goods, so registration is compulsory once aggregate turnover crosses Rs 20 lakh in a financial year, for goods and services alike. Inter-state suppliers of goods and persons liable under reverse charge must register regardless of turnover. Telangana GSTINs begin with state code 36.
Due dates.
| Return | Monthly filer | QRMP (quarterly) filer in Telangana |
|---|---|---|
| GSTR-1 | 11th of the next month | 13th of the month after the quarter |
| GSTR-3B | 20th of the next month | 22nd of the month after the quarter |
| Tax payment | With GSTR-3B | PMT-06 by the 25th for the first two months of the quarter |
QRMP is available when aggregate turnover is up to Rs 5 crore. The full schedule is in our GST return due dates calendar.
Late fee and interest. A late GSTR-3B or GSTR-1 attracts Rs 50 per day (Rs 20 per day for a nil return), capped at Rs 2,000 where turnover is up to Rs 1.5 crore, Rs 5,000 up to Rs 5 crore and Rs 10,000 above that, with nil returns capped at Rs 500. Interest at 18% a year applies to tax paid late. See the GST late fee and interest guide.
Jurisdiction. Every Telangana registration is assigned either to the Telangana State Tax (Commercial Taxes) Department or to the Central GST Hyderabad Zone. Your registration certificate (Form GST REG-06) shows which one, and notices will come from that office. Addresses and how to find your own office are in the next section.
GST Offices in Hyderabad: Addresses, Jurisdiction and Helpdesk
Hyderabad has two sets of GST offices. Which one you deal with depends on the jurisdiction assigned to your GSTIN, not on where you file: all returns are filed online on gst.gov.in.
Central GST: Hyderabad Zone. The zone has four GST commissionerates. Addresses as published on cgsthyderabadzone.gov.in:
| Office | Address | Phone |
|---|---|---|
| Chief Commissioner, Hyderabad Zone | GST Bhavan, L.B. Stadium Road, Basheerbagh, Hyderabad 500004 | 040 23237581 |
| Hyderabad Commissionerate | 2nd Floor, GST Bhavan, Basheerbagh, Hyderabad 500004 | 040 23241117 |

| Medchal Commissionerate | 3rd Floor, Medchal GST Bhavan, 11-4-649/B, Lakdikapul, Hyderabad 500004 | 040 24303037 |
| Ranga Reddy Commissionerate | 1-98/7/43, VIP Hills, Jaihind Enclave, Madhapur, Hyderabad 500081 | 040 24760795 |
The zone's contact page and the commissionerates' own pages do not always match (for example, the contact page still lists Posnett Bhawan, Tilak Road for Ranga Reddy), so call before you visit.
Which central commissionerate covers your area. Division names on the commissionerates' jurisdiction pages, checked November 2026. Jurisdiction is fixed by GHMC ward or mandal, not by locality name, so confirm with the PIN code lookup below.
| Commissionerate | Divisions (localities) |
|---|---|
| Hyderabad | Abids, Ameerpet (Sanathnagar, Yousufguda), Banjara Hills (Jubilee Hills), Charminar, Falaknuma, Himayathnagar, Mehdipatnam (Tolichowki), Punjagutta (Somajiguda) |
| Ranga Reddy | Gachibowli (Serilingampally mandal), Madhapur, Nagole (Hayathnagar), Shamshabad (Gandipet, Chevella), plus Nalgonda, Mahabubnagar and Khammam |
| Medchal | Kukatpally (KPHB, Moosapet, Balanagar), Jeedimetla (Qutbullapur), Malkajgiri (Alwal, Cantonment), Medchal (Bachupally, Shamirpet), Sangareddy (Patancheru), plus Nizamabad, Karimnagar and Mancherial |
| Secunderabad | Amberpet, Begumpet, Kapra, Secunderabad, Tarnaka, Uppal, plus Warangal |
The zone's GST helpdesk numbers are 1800 599 5399, 040 23230583, 7901 243 117 and 7901 243 172.
State GST: Telangana Commercial Taxes Department. The head office is the Commissioner of Commercial Taxes, C.T. Complex, Nampally, Hyderabad 500001. The department works through divisions and circles across the state, listed on tgct.gov.in.
How to find your own GST office and jurisdiction:
- Search your GSTIN under Search Taxpayer on gst.gov.in. The result shows your Centre jurisdiction and your State jurisdiction.
- For a central jurisdiction, enter your PIN code on the Know your GST Office page of cgsthyderabadzone.gov.in. Each commissionerate also has a "Jurisdiction and Officers" page listing its divisions and ranges.
- For a state jurisdiction, use Know your Jurisdiction on tgct.gov.in.
A business in Gachibowli or Madhapur falls under a different commissionerate from one in Secunderabad, and a central allotment only applies if your GSTIN was assigned to the Centre at all, so check your own GSTIN rather than going by locality.
Notices from a GST Superintendent or Inspector. Day-to-day work in a range, such as registration verification and enquiries, is handled by Superintendents and Inspectors. Any communication from a CBIC officer must carry a Document Identification Number (DIN), which you can verify on the CBIC DIN search page (cbicddm.gov.in). If a central GST notice has no DIN, ask the office about it before you act on it. For replying to a notice, see our GST notice reply guide.
GST Annual Return (GSTR-9) for Hyderabad Businesses
Monthly or quarterly returns are only part of the job. Once a year, a regular taxpayer may also have to file an annual return in Form GSTR-9 that sums up the whole financial year.
| Aggregate turnover in the financial year | What you file | Due date |
|---|---|---|
| Up to Rs 2 crore | GSTR-9 not required (exempt) | Not applicable |
| Above Rs 2 crore, up to Rs 5 crore | GSTR-9 | 31 December after the year ends |
| Above Rs 5 crore | GSTR-9 plus self-certified GSTR-9C reconciliation statement | 31 December after the year ends |
For FY 2025-26, that means GSTR-9 (and GSTR-9C where it applies) is due by 31 December 2026. The Rs 2 crore exemption is permanent from FY 2024-25 onwards under Notification 15/2025-Central Tax, so a small Hyderabad business no longer has to wait for a fresh notification each year.
Late fee for a late GSTR-9 (CGST, FY 2022-23 onwards):
| Aggregate turnover | Late fee under CGST |
|---|---|
| Up to Rs 5 crore | Rs 25 per day, capped at 0.02% of turnover in Telangana |
| Above Rs 5 crore, up to Rs 20 crore | Rs 50 per day, capped at 0.02% of turnover in Telangana |
| Above Rs 20 crore | Rs 100 per day, capped at 0.25% of turnover in Telangana (Section 47(2)) |
These are the CGST amounts. A separate late fee is levied under the Telangana GST Act. A GSTR-9 cannot be filed more than three years after its due date (Section 44(2)), so an old unfiled annual return can become impossible to file.
GSTR-9 pulls its figures from the GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B already filed for the year, so mismatches in the monthly returns show up here. That is why the GSTR-2B reconciliation in your monthly service matters. For a table-by-table walkthrough, see our GSTR-9 annual return guide, and for businesses above Rs 5 crore, the GSTR-9C reconciliation statement guide.
Documents Needed for GST Registration in Hyderabad
If you do not have a GSTIN yet, registration comes before any filing. The application in Form GST REG-01 on gst.gov.in typically needs:
- PAN of the business, or of the proprietor
- Aadhaar and a photograph of the proprietor, partners or directors
- Proof of constitution: partnership deed, LLP or company incorporation certificate (not needed for a proprietor)
- Proof of the principal place of business: an ownership document such as a property tax receipt or electricity bill, or a rent agreement, or a consent letter with the owner's proof if the premises belong to a relative
- Details of the authorised signatory who will verify returns with an OTP or DSC
The government charges no fee for GST registration. Our GST registration process guide explains each step, and our GST registration service handles the application for you.
How to Find a GST Filing Service Near You in Hyderabad
Directory sites list hundreds of GST filing services in Hyderabad, and the list does not tell you who will actually file your returns. Narrow it down this way:
- Check the Google Maps listing. A real office address, recent reviews that mention GST work, and replies from the business are good signs.
- Ask for the scope in writing. It should name the returns covered (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B, GSTR-9), the transaction limit and what costs extra.
- Keep your GST portal login in your name. The username and password belong to the business, not the provider.
- Verify credentials where they are claimed. A chartered accountant's membership number can be checked on the ICAI website.
- Ask who files GSTR-9. Some providers file only monthly returns and leave the annual return to you.
Our comparison of the best GST filing services in India and the list of tax consultants in Hyderabad cover the options side by side.
How to Switch GST Filing Providers Without Missing a Return
- Switch just after a filing, not a few days before a due date.
- Collect your sales and purchase registers and the filed GSTR-1 and GSTR-3B for the current financial year.
- Check on the GST portal that no earlier return is pending. Returns must be filed in sequence.
- Share the registers and portal access with the new provider, and agree in writing who files the next return.
- Have open input tax credit differences against GSTR-2B reconciled before the first GSTR-3B with the new provider.
Bottom Line
- Want returns filed for you, with an office in Hyderabad: a managed service such as Tax Garden, from Rs 1,500 a month.
- Have an accountant and digital records: accounting or GST software.
- Need audit, advisory and representation as well: a chartered accountant firm.
Monthly filers file GSTR-1 by the 11th and GSTR-3B by the 20th. If either date is close, sort out the current return first and change providers afterwards.
